Deck overview

Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire leads an all-permanent Jund deck that uses topdeck manipulation to cheat massive threats into play while dismantling opposing boards. Dense early mana acceleration deploys topdeck filters like Crystal Ball and Doom Whisperer alongside token generators before casting the six-mana commander. When Vaevictis attacks, it forces each opponent to sacrifice their strongest permanent while sacrificing an expendable token to cheat devastating permanents like Sheoldred, Whispering One, Lurking Predators, and Beledros Witherbloom directly onto the battlefield. Because the library consists entirely of permanents aside from Primal Surge, resolving Surge puts the entire deck onto the battlefield with haste from Enduring Courage for an immediate win. The deck excels at generating compounding asymmetric attrition, though it relies on combat phases and carries minimal instant-speed interaction or protective spells.
