Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Wizard tribal spellslinger led by Gandalf, Party Guest. You build a board of legendary Wizards, then use Gandalf to cast an instant or sorcery for free at the start of combat. The free spell scales with your legendary Wizard count - two legends lets you cast up to four mana for free, three legends up to six, and so on. The deck wins through combat, not infinite combos. It pumps Wizards with Adeliz, the Cinder Wind and Balmor, Battlemage Captain, doubles triggers with Harmonic Prodigy and Veyran, Voice of Duality, and floods the board with tokens from Talrand, Sky Summoner, Kykar, Wind's Fury, and Deekah, Fractal Theorist. Big payoffs like Akroma's Will, Bond of Discipline, Surge to Victory, and Waves of Aggression turn a wide board into lethal damage. Gandalf matters for value, but the deck can still cast spells and make tokens without him.
