Deck overview

Hashaton, Scarab's Fist leads an Esper reanimator and discard-engine deck designed to cheat high-cost creatures into play at a substantial mana discount. Rather than casting expensive 6-to-10 mana creatures normally, the deck uses low-cost discard outlets like Putrid Imp, Psychic Frog, and Careful Study to pitch massive threats into the graveyard. Whenever a creature is discarded, Hashaton pays {2}{U} to create a 4/4 black Zombie token copy of that card. This allows the deck to deploy devastating control pieces such as Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Archon of Cruelty, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite as early as Turn 4. The deck establishes an oppressive resource stranglehold, stripping opposing hands, sweeping small boards, and drawing massive amounts of cards. Protected by efficient countermagic and Gleaming Overseer, the deck finishes opponents through combat damage or an infinite mana blink loop using Deadeye Navigator and Peregrine Drake.
