Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Aristocrats and lifegain midrange strategy commanded by Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim. The game plan revolves around generating token fodder through cards like Ophiomancer, Lingering Souls, and Bastion of Remembrance, then sacrificing those creatures for incremental life gain and table-wide life drain via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Marauding Blight-Priest. Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim provides a built-in sacrifice outlet that bolsters life totals early and turns into a potent repeatable exile tool once your life reaches 50 or higher. The deck controls the battlefield using a dense suite of exile-based spot removal and board wipes like Day of Judgment and Fumigate. While it lacks fast infinite combos, it closes out games around Turn 9 by compounding aristocrat drain triggers with token armies from Grave Titan and God-Eternal Oketra, or finishing with Exsanguinate. Its main vulnerability is prolonged exposure to creature sweepers and exile removal.
