Making Bands & Catching Hands by Papa-Triste

Format: Commander

Commander: Knuckles the Echidna

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-red deck is a relentless treasure-fueled combat engine helmed by Knuckles the Echidna. With haste, double strike, and trample, Knuckles attacks immediately on entry, generating Treasures that accelerate every subsequent turn. The deck's primary path to victory is chaining extra combat phases - via Aggravated Assault, Full Throttle, and Karlach, Fury of Avernus - while multiplying Treasures with Academy Manufactor, Xorn, and Goldspan Dragon. Those Treasures either enable further combats or power finishers like Crackle with Power and Hellkite Tyrant's alternate win condition. The deck also runs an incidental ping suite (Reckless Fireweaver) and a robust artifact recursion package (Daretti, Scrap Savant, Goblin Welder) to grind through disruption. While the commander is the primary value engine, the 99 contains enough independent treasure generators and extra-combat pieces that the plan remains functional even if Knuckles is answered repeatedly.
