Y'shtola, Night's Blessed leads an Esper control-drain deck that wins by casting 3+ mana noncreature spells to ping each opponent for 2 and gain life, drawing extra cards when anyone loses 4+ life in a turn. The primary plan is to land Y'shtola early, protect her behind Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Solemnity and counterspells, and grind value with Teferi, Smothering Tithe and draw spells until incremental drain or a large Exsanguinate ends the game. Secondary paths use Kambal and Bloodchief Ascension for passive drain and Hullbreaker Horror for flash control lock. Kambal and Hullbreaker Horror act as hidden commanders when Y'shtola is unavailable.
