SMAUG - Greedy Dragon by Yimr

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The deck is built to point noncombat damage at Smaug the Impenetrable, using his indestructible body as a treasure-producing engine, then turn those Treasures into all-opponent damage with token-drain payoffs. The primary loop is Pyrohemia or Pestilence pinging Smaug, with Reckless Fireweaver, Mirkwood Bats, and similar cards converting each token and life-loss step into kills. Secondary paths are fast Dragon attacks, Treasure blowouts from Goldspan Dragon and Ancient Copper Dragon, and artifact-count wins through Hellkite Tyrant or Knuckles the Echidna. Smaug, Wicked Worm and Smaug the Magnificent act as hidden Smaug backups in the 99; the deck is tuned to use indestructible Smaug first and the others as overlapping threats.
