Format: Commander

Commander: Wolverine, Best There Is

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Wolverine, Best There Is is a Gruul voltron deck built to make one combat step lethal. The commander doubles all damage he deals, so the primary plan is to suit him with equipment and +1/+1 counters until a single hit deals 21+ commander damage, then use extra combat spells or Super State to kill the rest of the table. Wolverine, Claws Out acts as a hidden commander in the 99, doubling Mutant power and letting damage be assigned as though unblocked. Secondary paths are big non-commander threats (Jumbo Cactuar, Red Hulk, Lumra) and Insurrection. The deck is fast when it draws its equipment chain, but inconsistent mana and a heavy reliance on one attacker keep it from being a high-tier combo deck.
