Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Rakdos big-mana combo and burn strategy built around Smaug the Impenetrable. By taking advantage of Smaug's indestructible body and noncombat damage trigger, the deck turns self-inflicted board wipes and burn spells into massive bursts of Treasure tokens. Rituals like Dark Ritual, Seething Song, and Geosurge accelerate the 7-mana commander onto the battlefield on Turn 5. Once deployed, cards like Blasphemous Act, Cut Propulsion, and Star of Extinction deal double-digit damage to Smaug, creating 13 to 20 Treasures in a single action. This sudden influx of mana immediately fuels game-ending finishers, including a multi-target Crackle with Power, a massive Exsanguinate, or catastrophic ping damage from Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, and Mirkwood Bats. Redirection spells like Bolt Bend and Imp's Mischief protect Smaug from targeted exile, ensuring a lethal, same-turn finish that eliminates all three opponents at once.
