Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Rakdos cheat-into-play strategy commanded by The Infamous Cruelclaw. The game plan revolves around deploying Cruelclaw on Turn 2 or 3 using acceleration like Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, or Talisman of Indulgence, and ensuring it connects in combat via evasion enablers like Brotherhood Regalia, Lightning Greaves, or The Black Gate. Upon dealing combat damage, Cruelclaw exiles into a massive nonland spell and casts it for the cost of a single discard. The list is packed with game-ending bombs including Portal to Phyrexia, Valgavoth, Terror Eater, Archon of Cruelty, and Bolas's Citadel, smoothed by library manipulation from Scroll Rack and Sensei's Divining Top. If the commander is disrupted, the deck pivots smoothly into a reanimator plan using Reanimate and Animate Dead. Supported by extra combat engines like Karlach, Fury of Avernus and Port Razer, the deck rapidly overwhelms opponents.
