Casual Magda [3] by pschoen

Format: Commander

Commander: Magda, Brazen Outlaw

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is helmed by Magda, Brazen Outlaw, a mono-red commander that turns every tapped Dwarf into a Treasure token. The deck is built around a critical mass of Dwarves (including changelings like Universal Automaton and Maskwood Nexus) and artifact synergies. The primary game plan is to generate a large number of Treasure tokens quickly, then use Magda's ability to tutor out high-impact artifacts and Dragons such as Hellkite Tyrant, Knuckles the Echidna, or Drakuseth, Maw of Flames to win via combat or alternate win conditions. The deck also features token amplification with Academy Manufactor, Xorn, and Roaming Throne, allowing explosive turns. The deck can win via Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact threshold, Knuckles the Echidna's 30-artifact threshold, or by overwhelming combat damage with extra combat from Great Train Heist.
