Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Gruul midrange deck commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince, combining +1/+1 counter beatdown with heavy artifact destruction and token attrition. The primary strategy revolves around handing out Banana tokens to opponents, then punishing them as those artifacts hit the graveyard through Kibo's team-wide buff ability, Viridian Revel's card draw, and Bloodroot Apothecary's lethal poison triggers. Counter multipliers like Branching Evolution and Court of Garenbrig rapidly turn Kibo, Gorilla Shaman, and other Apes into massive threats, while Garruk's Uprising and Kodama of the West Tree grant necessary trample evasion. The interaction suite excels at dismantling opposing artifact mana and problem permanents with efficient tools like Vandalblast, Beast Within, and Force of Vigor. While the deck lacks stack interaction and tutors, its dense functional redundancy, resilient protection spells like Heroic Intervention, and independent counter engines provide a consistent, high-pressure clock that overwhelms opponents across mid-game combat turns.
