Hulk, Is the Strongest There is! by TheUrDragonMaster

Format: Commander

Commander: Hulk, Gamma Goliath

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Gruul deck is built around the "power-up" mechanic introduced with cards like Hulk, Gamma Goliath, Abomination, Terrifying Titan, and She-Hulk, Jade Defender. The commander reduces the cost of power-up abilities on other creatures by {3} and offers its own expensive but potent power-up (putting five +1/+1 counters on itself). The primary game plan is to accelerate mana with ramp spells and cheap dorks, then deploy large-bodied threats that accumulate +1/+1 counters through power-ups, allied counter-synergies (Doc Samson, Super Psychiatrist, Hulk, Strongest There Is), and combat triggers. The deck ultimately wins via overwhelming combat damage - either through a massive Craterhoof Behemoth alpha strike, a snowballing board of trampling creatures under Unnatural Growth, or incremental damage from evasive beaters like Dragonlord Atarka and Port Razer generating extra combat steps. The commander is a valuable enabler but not strictly required; the deck can function well as a straightforward gruul stompy list even without him.
