Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-black control and stax deck commanded by Tergrid, God of Fright. The deck's primary objective is to accelerate into early continuous discard and sacrifice pieces, deploy Tergrid on Turn 4, and cast explosive mass-discard or edict spells such as Dark Deal, Pox, and Plaguecrafter on Turn 5. When Tergrid is active, every permanent card discarded or sacrificed by an opponent enters the battlefield under your control, creating insurmountable board advantage while stripping opponents of resources. If Tergrid is removed, the deck easily pivots to independent big-mana lines leveraging Cabal Coffers, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, and Crypt Ghast into a lethal Torment of Hailfire, or continuous life drain via Tinybones, Trinket Thief, Liliana's Caress, and Bolas's Citadel. The deck excels at grinding opponents out of the game through heavy attrition.
