Deck overview

This Simic deck combines heavy land ramp with high-cost value engines and massive creature payoffs. Led by Gandalf, Westward Voyager, the deck accelerates its mana base in the first three turns using land search spells like Three Visits, Nature's Lore, and Cultivate. Once it reaches five mana on Turn 4, it deploys Gandalf or alternative engines such as Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait and Imoti, Celebrant of Bounty. The strategy relies on casting spells with mana value 5 or greater to trigger Gandalf's ability, either duplicating huge spells or drawing extra cards. On Turns 5 and 6, the deck floods the board with threats like Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, and Apex Devastator. It closes the game on Turn 6 or 7 by converting vast token swarms or giant creatures into lethal combat damage using Craterhoof Behemoth or Overwhelming Stampede. Robust land-based ramp makes the deck resilient against creature removal.
