Deck overview

This deck is a four-color (non-green) control strategy built around Jace, Multiverse Architect. The primary plan uses cheap, repeatable token producers such as Skrelv's Hive, Dreadhorde Invasion, and Staff of the Storyteller during the opening turns. Dense 2-CMC mana ramp accelerates Jace, Multiverse Architect onto the battlefield on Turn 4. Jace immediately uses his -3 ability to exile a disposable token and cheat a massive, game-warping threat from the library directly onto the battlefield. Payoffs include devastating creatures like Archon of Cruelty, Archfiend of Despair, Serra's Emissary, and Memnarch, the Warden. Backup polymorph engines like Mass Polymorph and Synthetic Destiny can turn token swarms into an entire board of finishers at once. The deck protects its board with spells like Flawless Maneuver and Grand Crescendo, controls opposing threats with efficient single-target exile and sweepers, and closes out the game through evasive combat and life-loss multipliers by Turn 7.
