Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Mardu deck helmed by Fire Lord Zuko is an explosive extra-combat aggro strategy built around the firebending mechanic - attack-triggered mana generation that fuels chained combat steps. The primary game plan is to deploy multiple creatures with firebending (Iroh, Dragon of the West, Zuko, Exiled Prince, Sun Warriors, etc.), then use the floating red mana to activate or cast extra-combat spells like Aggravated Assault, Great Train Heist, and Hellkite Charger. Sword of Feast and Famine provides the critical mana multiplication by untapping all lands on combat damage, enabling infinite combat loops. The commander's ability to put +1/+1 counters on all creatures whenever a card is played from exile (a frequent occurrence via Prosper, Tome-Bound and impulse effects) provides incremental inevitability. Secondary win conditions include direct damage from Toralf, God of Fury and massive mana burn from Leyline Tyrant. The deck accelerates quickly through impulse draw and treasure token generation, aiming to overwhelm opponents with multiple combat phases before they can stabilise.
