Deck overview

This deck is a combat-oriented Boros aggro list commanded by Tajic, Legion's Edge. The game plan focuses on curving out with early Soldiers, Knights, and token generators, then leveraging Tajic's haste and mentor ability to rapidly grow the attacking team. Tajic provides built-in asymmetric protection by shielding other creatures from noncombat damage, allowing damage-based sweepers like Deafening Clarion to clear opposing blockers while preserving your own board. The deck scales into the mid-game with anthems, double strike enablers like Flaming Fist, and token engines like Assemble the Legion. While the deck features strong early tempo and resilient combat lines, its primary limitations stem from thin mana acceleration, scarce repeatable card draw, and prolonged vulnerability to traditional creature sweepers over multi-turn combat clocks.
