Deck overview

This Boros deck combines Dwarf tribal synergy with explosive Treasure token generation under Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. The game plan focuses on curving low-cost Dwarves on Turns 1 through 3, establishing mana advantage via Magda, Brazen Outlaw and efficient artifact ramp. Casting Thorin on Turn 4 immediately scales the entire board, granting each Dwarf +1/+0 for every artifact token in play. On Turn 5, the deck applies severe combat pressure, using combat triggers and tutors to overwhelm opposing life totals. While the strategy relies on creature combat across multiple turns, a premier suite of protection spells—including Teferi's Protection, Flawless Maneuver, and Grand Abolisher—shields key permanents from opposing sweepers and removal. Magda, Brazen Outlaw provides a robust alternative engine by tutoring high-impact Dragons directly onto the battlefield.
