Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Combo build centered around Fire Lord Azula. The strategy focuses on accelerating Azula onto the battlefield by Turn 3, attacking on Turn 4 to unlock Firebending mana, and utilizing her ability to copy every spell cast during combat. By heavily leaning into instant-speed rituals, card-draw spells, and tutors, the deck executes explosive storm turns entirely within the combat phase. It closes games cleanly using Comet Storm or infinite mana loops such as Reiterate with Turnabout, as well as Dualcaster Mage synergies. While the deck boasts a dense counterspell package and cheap protective spells like Bolt Bend, its reliance on Azula attacking and a near-total absence of sweepers or permanent removal make it vulnerable to resolved stax pieces and aggressive creature boards.
