Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elf tribal deck helmed by Lathril, Blade of the Elves, built around creating an overwhelming board of Elf tokens and using them as both a combat force and a resource for Lathril's life-draining ability. The primary plan is to deploy Lathril early, repeatedly trigger her combat damage to generate an army of 1/1 Elf Warriors, then either overwhelm opponents with pumped, trampling elves or activate Lathril's activated ability to drain each opponent for 10 life at a time. Token doublers like Doubling Season and Primal Vigor accelerate the board state massively, while lords and anthems (Bramblewood Paragon, Imperious Perfect) turn the swarm lethal. The deck's secondary win path relies on huge beaters (Drove of Elves, Heedless One) and incidental drain from Poison-Tip Archer or Skemfar Shadowsage. Recursion and protection (Soul of Innistrad, Steely Resolve, Alesha's Legacy) help the deck rebuild after wipes, but it lacks fast infinite combos, relying on incremental advantage and combat.
