Deck overview

This mono-blue deck combines spellslinger and tribal aggro-control mechanics under Namor the Sub-Mariner. Namor scales in power with the number of Merfolk you control and creates 1/1 Merfolk tokens whenever you cast noncreature spells with blue mana symbols. The deck leverages an array of cheap cantrips, auras, and countermagic to trigger Namor repeatedly, generating a wide board while simultaneously disrupting opposing plays. Evasion enablers like Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive and Aqueous Form ensure Namor and the Merfolk swarm bypass blockers, while tribal lords such as Attuma, Atlantean Warlord amplify damage output. Asymmetric bounce tools like Summon: Leviathan clear opposing boards without affecting your sea creatures. While lacking compact infinite combos or dedicated tutors, the deck excels at generating compounding tempo and board presence through interactive spells, grinding down opponents over several evasive combat rotations.
