A/UA Thranduil, the Elvenking by Mikey42069

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is the deck's central engine: once he is on the battlefield, every Elf in the graveyard lends him its activated abilities, making him a mana dork, creature cheater, and evasive beater in one. The primary plan is to ramp with Elf mana dorks, mill or discard Elf cards early, then cast Thranduil and use his stolen abilities-Llanowar Elves, Woodland Weavemaster, Topiary Lecturer, Elvish Piper-to generate huge mana and deploy threats. The hidden commander, Thranduil, Sindarin Liege // Silvan Rally, fills the graveyard, draws cards, and creates Elf tokens through landfall. Landfall payoffs and Alpha Status grow a wide board; Rogue's Passage or Whispersilk Cloak then turn Thranduil into a 21-damage commander kill.
