Deck overview

Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker runs a mono-black Shadowborn Apostle engine: the commander turns every dead 1/1 into a recurring end-step resource, letting six Apostles tutor Demons repeatedly. The primary plan is to chain Demon tutors - Rune-Scarred Demon, Razaketh, Vilis, Ob Nixilis/Archfiend - and finish with Liliana's Contract, while Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance convert each sacrifice into drain. Secret Salvage can pull all remaining Apostles from the library, and Razaketh/Rune-Scarred add extra tutoring. A secondary grind plan uses Shirei recursion plus lifedrain to kill gradually. The deck is tutor-dense and linear, but it lacks artifact removal and stack interaction.
