Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Gruul stompy and kindred deck commanded by Muerra, Trash Tactician. The strategy focuses on establishing early creature presence with efficient Raccoons, mana dorks, and Heartwood token generators, which quickly fuel Muerra's precombat mana generation. By chaining spells together to hit Expend 4 and Expend 8 thresholds, the deck continuously gains life and exiles cards for card advantage. Once a broad board state of resilient creatures and hydras is established, the deck transitions into its decisive endgame using force multipliers such as Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, Return of the Wildspeaker, and Genesis Wave. While vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and lacking stack-based countermagic, its dense redundant threats, steady card advantage engines like Beast Whisperer and Garruk's Uprising, and explosive mana velocity allow it to recover rapidly and present lethal combat pressure by Turns 6-7.
