Deck overview

This deck is an Esper midrange strategy led by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed, designed to grind incremental card advantage and life disparities while working toward a definitive win. Early turns focus on accelerating mana via 2-CMC rocks to deploy Y'shtola on turn 3 or 4. Once operational, casting noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater taxes opponent life totals by 2 while gaining 2 life and triggering Y'shtola's end-step card draw whenever 4 or more life is lost in a turn.
