Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Chatterfang, Squirrel General to turn every token generation effect into an exponential swarm of 1/1 green Squirrels. By pairing everyday game actions—creating Food with Gilded Goose or Tireless Provisioner, Treasures with Prosperous Innkeeper, or Clues with Academy Manufactor—with Chatterfang's passive ability, the deck rapidly amasses dozens of permanents. These tokens fuel mana acceleration through Ashnod's Altar and Insidious Roots, provide card velocity through Skullclamp and Plumb the Forbidden, and enable repeatable creature removal with Chatterfang's activated ability. Rather than relying on fragile single-target combat, the primary win condition leverages aristocrat payoffs such as Blood Artist, Bastion of Remembrance, Marionette Apprentice, and Mirkwood Bats. Once critical mass is reached on Turn 5, sacrificing the board drains all three opponents simultaneously by Turn 6. The deck is resilient against destroy-based sweepers due to lethal death triggers, though it remains susceptible to mass exile effects.
