Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Izzet spellslinger aggro list led by Rootha, Mastering the Moment. The primary game plan revolves around casting high-mana-value spells with built-in cost reduction mechanics, such as Temporal Trespass, Treasure Cruise, Furygale Flocking, and Volcanic Salvo. By paying small fractions of their printed mana costs through delve, graveyard counts, or cost reducers like The Scarlet Witch and Baral, Chief of Compliance, the deck triggers Rootha's combat ability to create massive 8/8 to 11/11 flying Elemental tokens with haste. It then accelerates its clock using token duplicators such as Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, Rionya, Fire Dancer, and Determined Iteration, closing out games with overwhelming aerial combat damage by Turn 6. Backed by format-ceiling fast mana, premium card draw engines like The One Ring and Rhystic Study, and free protection counterspells like Deflecting Swat and Fierce Guardianship, the deck protects its board while applying rapid lethal pressure.
