Deck overview

The Serpent Society is a black-green deathtouch-and-poison attrition deck. The commander is a five-poison combat threat, and under Fynn, the Fangbearer, every deathtouch hit also gives poison. The early game sets up small deathtouch bodies, then uses Fynn and token generators to start a poison clock. Later turns convert the board into a wide kill with Triumph of the Hordes or Finale of Devastation. The hidden role is a deathtouch sacrifice-and-recursion engine: Birthing Pod, Body Launderer, Grist, and Cauldron of Essence turn disposable 1/1s into card advantage, repeatable removal, and poison scaling. The commander is important but not strictly necessary because the deck has several independent poison and combat lines.
