Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis combo-control deck helmed by Saruman, the White Hand. While Saruman provides incidental board presence by amassing an Orc Army and granting ward protection whenever noncreature spells are cast, the deck's primary route to victory is assembling an infinite creature token loop. The core win condition relies on pairing an untap creature, such as Deceiver Exarch or Coercive Recruiter, with a token-duplication engine, specifically Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker or Splinter Twin. Early turns focus on mana acceleration via artifacts like Arcane Signet and card selection through looting and draw spells. The deck maintains table parity using versatile countermagic and removal such as Counterspell, Rakdos Charm, and Blasphemous Act. Once the combo pieces are assembled, typically around Turn 6, the deck executes a same-turn lethal attack with infinite hasty copies, bypassing opponent life totals entirely.
