Sacrificial Lambs by jwill

Format: Commander

Commander: The Balrog, Durin's Bane

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Rakdos sacrifice/treasure value deck that uses death triggers and token multiplication to drain opponents, then closes with an evasive haste commander. The Balrog, Durin's Bane is the primary finisher: sacrificing treasures or fodder makes him cheaper, and his death trigger doubles as spot removal. Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern is the hidden commander, profiting from the many forced-sacrifice effects. There and Back Again provides the biggest payoff; when Smaug dies it makes fourteen Treasures, which Mayhem Devil or Mirkwood Bats turn into a lethal drain.
