Deck overview

This deck uses Zellix, Sanity Flayer and Haunted One to support a Horror-centered mill engine. Early plays such as Hedron Crab, Ruin Crab, Sol Ring, and two-mana rocks establish mana and repeated milling. Creature cards milled by Zellix, Sanity Flayer create Horror tokens, while Captain N'ghathrod can turn combat damage into more mill and steal creatures from opposing graveyards. The deck also contains a genuine Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank loop, but it needs an initial life-loss or mill event and does not automatically kill the whole table without a mass effect. Tutors and countermagic improve consistency, yet the primary plan remains slow because its decisive cards are expensive and mostly singletons. The ordinary line reaches a usable engine near turn five, creates a must-answer mill threat around turn eight, and does not reliably finish before opponents receive several opportunities to interact.
