Deck overview

This is a classic Grixis control/attrition list helmed by original Nicol Bolas. The plan is pure draw-go: tax attacks with Propaganda and Collective Restraint, answer everything with a dense counter and removal suite, then grind the table out through damage engines (Last Laugh, Dingus Staff, Lightning Rift + cycling) and hand destruction. Nicol Bolas is a late-game finisher whose combat trigger empties hands, not the engine the deck is built around. There are no infinite combos; wins come from resolved locks (Decree of Silence), chained attrition damage, and eventual 7/7 flying beats. The list leans heavily on cycling synergy via Fluctuator and premium card advantage (Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, Phyrexian Arena) to out-resource three opponents in long games.
