Dragons Hoard by user6091576

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Treasure/Dragon value deck helmed by Smaug, Wicked Worm, whose ETB converts opponents' artifact counts into tapped Treasures and whose second ability turns Treasure-fueled casts into card draw. The plan is to snowball a massive Treasure economy through engines like Ganax, Astral Hunter, Goldspan Dragon, Xorn, and Magda, Brazen Outlaw, then convert that mana and card flow into a win. Primary closers are dragon combat backed by Terror of the Peaks and Scourge of Valkas pings, drain effects from Mirkwood Bats and Mayhem Devil, a big Torment of Hailfire, and the alternate win on Hellkite Tyrant. The commander is a genuine draw engine in the zone, but the deck leans on natural draws and incremental board presence rather than a fast, tutorable combo line.
