Divine Inferno by theuvel

Format: Commander

Commander: Shilgengar, Sire of Famine

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Shilgengar, Sire of Famine leads an Orzhov lifegain/reanimator deck. The primary plan is to gain life with Angels and drain opponents with Vito, Marauding Blight-Priest, Sanguine Bond, and Blood Artist effects. Shilgengar turns creatures-especially high-toughness Angels-into Blood tokens, then mass-reanimates the graveyard to trigger ETB and drain effects. Secondary paths are the Exquisite Blood drain loop and Angel beatdown with Lyra Dawnbringer and Baneslayer Angel. Sorin of House Markov is a hidden commander; the deck uses his front face for lifelink and extort, and lets him transform into Sorin, Ravenous Neonate to convert life gain into direct damage.
