Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue control strategy that wins by combining poison counters with doubled proliferate triggers from Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus. In the early turns, it seeds poison onto each opponent using unblockable attackers like Blighted Agent or spells like Prologue to Phyresis. Once poison is established, it deploys Tekuthal alongside repeatable proliferation engines such as Inexorable Tide, Contagion Clasp, or Viral Drake. Because Tekuthal doubles every proliferate action, each activation or spell places two poison counters on every opponent simultaneously. The deck supports this plan with blue control tools, using counterspells like Reject Imperfection and mass bounce spells like Evacuation to survive incoming aggression. Additional value engines like Tezzeret the Seeker, Narset, Parter of Veils, and charge-counter artifacts provide card advantage, board control, and alternate win routes through Darksteel Reactor and Lux Artillery.
