Deck overview

This Bant midrange deck leverages Helga, Skittish Seer to convert large creature spells into continuous card draw, life gain, and explosive mana ramp. The primary game plan curves early mana acceleration into Helga on Turn 3, followed by a steady chain of four-mana and greater creatures on subsequent turns. Each qualifying spell grows Helga with +1/+1 counters while replenishing your hand, enabling Helga to tap for increasing amounts of colored mana. Synergistic enchantments and creatures like Branching Evolution, Hardened Scales, and Cathars' Crusade rapidly inflate the board, while evasion enablers like Herald of Secret Streams, Abzan Falconer, and Surrak and Goreclaw push through decisive combat damage. A compact two-card infinite combo between Cathars' Crusade and Herd Baloth provides an alternative instant army. While the deck generates massive card velocity and board presence, it relies heavily on creature permanents and remains vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
