Pako & Haldan by user2401356

Format: Commander

Commander: Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Temur "superpup" voltron deck built around the partner pair Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist. The core plan is to cast Pako early, attack immediately thanks to haste, exile the top card of every library, and grow him with +1/+1 counters from the noncreature cards he hits. Haldan then converts those fetch-counter exiles into land drops and noncreature spells, turning combat damage into card advantage and mana. The deck finishes by chaining extra-combat effects such as Seize the Day, Savage Beating, Relentless Assault, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, Anzrag, the Quake-Mole, and Hellkite Charger until Pako, with damage spread by Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, takes out the whole table in one turn. Extra turns, landfall draw, and a compact equipment/aura protection suite round out the game plan.
