Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet artifact midrange build centered on Jhoira, Ageless Innovator. The strategy focuses on accelerating Jhoira's ingenuity counters to cheat progressively larger artifacts and Equipment directly onto the battlefield without paying their mana costs. By bypassing traditional casting costs, the deck rapidly deploys powerful threats like Iron Man, Master of Machines, Traxos, Scourge Eternal, and Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, while suiting them up with potent Equipment such as Nettlecyst, Blackblade Reforged, Genji Glove, and Whispersilk Cloak. Card flow engines like Palantír of Orthanc and The Theorist, Jace Beleren keep the hand stocked with artifacts for Jhoira to cheat into play. While the deck lacks infinite combos or hard lockouts, it presents an escalating combat clock that can eliminate players in rapid succession starting on Turn 5, relying on hexproof Equipment and efficient countermagic to protect its board state.
