Deck overview

This deck is a five-color combo spellslinger list built around the prepare mechanic, commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex. Its primary win condition pairs Displacer Kitten with prepare creatures whose adventure-like spells generate mana or draw cards upon entering the battlefield. Casting a prepared spell triggers Displacer Kitten, blinking the host creature so it returns prepared and ready to cast its spell again. By looping Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song, the deck creates infinite mana, draws its library using Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall, and instantly closes the game with Approach of the Second Sun. When Displacer Kitten is unavailable, Codie, Ravenous Codex serves as an alternate value and win engine by preparing your entire board and copying every prepared spell cast. Supported by efficient targeted removal and fast mana, the deck pivots cleanly from value accumulation into an explosive same-turn finish.
