Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Y'shtola, Night's Blessed commands an Esper control and taxation deck that punishes opponent actions while fueling a steady card advantage engine. The strategy establishes defensive stax pieces and attack taxes to slow down aggressive opponents while deploying incremental drain effects. Y'shtola synergizes directly with three-mana or greater noncreature spells, draining opponents and drawing cards whenever four life is lost in a turn. The deck seals victory by assembling an infinite drain combo with Exquisite Blood and Enduring Tenacity, scaling lethal life loss through Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate, or overwhelming opponents through fully active Bloodchief Ascension triggers and attached damage-draw auras.
