Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Creature Control build centered on Sephiroth, Planet's Heir. The primary strategy focuses on controlling the battlefield through an extensive suite of single-target creature removal and selective board debuffs. On turn 6, the deck deploys Sephiroth to sweep small opposing utility creatures and establish a sizable vigilance threat. Each subsequent removal spell grows Sephiroth via +1/+1 counters, transforming the commander into a lethal combat threat. Alternative high-end threats like Massacre Wurm, Overseer of the Damned, and Ultimecia, Temporal Threat provide redundant board presence and attrition. However, the deck faces severe structural constraints: it operates on minimal mana acceleration, lacks countermagic to protect against noncreature spells, and has almost no protection spells for its commander. Winning via sequential combat attacks takes multiple turn cycles, leaving the deck exposed to opposing interaction and combo finishes.
