Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Golgari Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy commanded by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. It focuses on accumulating incremental value through creature sacrifices, graveyard recursion, and efficient tutor packages. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using low-cost mana dorks and land ramp, setting up early sacrifice outlets and self-mill engines. Once ready, it transitions from grinding down opposing boards with recursive edicts like Plaguecrafter into an immediate game-ending combo. Its primary win condition resolves around sacrificing Protean Hulk to assemble Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and Blood Artist, which generates an infinite drain loop on Turn 4. Supported by efficient reanimation spells such as Reanimate and Animate Dead, the deck can pivot smoothly between an attrition-based midrange strategy and explosive combo finishes, maintaining resilience through redundant tutors and recurring threats.
