Kalamax, the Stormsire by Sereus

Format: Commander

Commander: Kalamax, the Stormsire

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Temur (URG) deck helmed by Kalamax, the Stormsire, built around copying instants for value and leveraging a dinosaur subtheme. The primary game plan is to tap Kalamax and cast the first instant each turn to copy it, generating explosive mana, card advantage, or token swarms. The deck has two main win conditions: an infinite mana combo (Kalamax + Reiterate + Seething Song + Comet Storm) and an infinite token loop (Polyraptor + Forerunner of the Empire + any other Dinosaur). Secondary wins come from massive token armies via Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, and Adrix and Nev, Twincasters, or from combat with trample dinosaurs like Quartzwood Crasher. The deck relies heavily on the commander for speed and value, but includes enough tutors and synergies to function at a reduced capacity without Kalamax.
