Deck overview

This deck is a direct adaptation of classic 60-card Red Deck Wins and Burn strategies to the 100-card Commander format. Led by Kari Zev, Skyship Raider, the list focuses on deploying aggressive low-mana creatures alongside a high density of efficient direct-damage spells and punishing hate pieces like Blood Moon and Pyrostatic Pillar. While the deck consistently generates early tempo and deploys threats on Turns 1 through 3, it faces severe structural hurdles in multiplayer games. Overcoming 120 opposing life points using single-target burn spells and small attackers quickly exhausts resources without dedicated card draw engines. The deck functions effectively as a disruptive aggro deck that punishes greedy mana bases and lowers life totals rapidly, but it struggles to close games against prepared pods with sweepers, lifegain, or large blockers.
