Deck overview

Rakdos, Lord of Riots is the engine and payoff of a damage-first Rakdos deck. Cheap pingers and burn spells put opponents' life totals in motion, unlocking massive colorless Eldrazi, demons, and the deck's central infinite loop. Ancestral Statue returns itself, and with Rakdos discounting it to near zero every cast turns on Impact Tremors or Nettle Drone for infinite damage. When the combo is not assembled, Neheb, the Eternal and big annihilator threats take over, while Void Winnower and Archfiend of Despair pressure opponents. The commander must connect with a life-loss event on every turn it is cast; the deck has no true hidden commander, but Neheb is the most impactful non-commander engine.
