New Untitled Deck by tjmcmtg

Format: Commander

Commander: Shalai and Hallar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Naya +1/+1-counter burn deck, registered with Shalai and Hallar in the command zone - the pilot's framing of Minsc & Boo, Timeless Heroes describes a powerful supporting piece in the 99 (a "hidden commander"), not the actual general. The core plan is to layer counter-replacement effects (Branching Evolution, Conclave Mentor, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Ozolith, the Shattered Spire), flood the board with token engines (Scurry Oak, Herd Baloth, Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin), and let Shalai convert every counter placed into direct damage. Primary wins are the Cathars' Crusade-based infinite loops, a giant Chandra's Ignition, or an Akroma's Will-backed combat turn. The deck is land-heavy (40 lands, 3.30 average MV) and deliberately mid-paced: it develops to a critical-mass turn rather than trying to combo on turn 3-4.
