Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis mid-power strategy helmed by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The game plan revolves around cloning Doctor Doom and other legendary Villains to trigger multiple connive instances each combat. Conniving sculpts the hand, fills the graveyard, grows attacking creatures, and triggers land-discard life loss. Supporting discard payoffs like Archfiend of Ifnir, Bone Miser, and Glint-Horn Buccaneer turn routine card filtering into asymmetric board wipes, explosive mana generation, and direct table-wide damage. With 11 clone variants such as Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Spark Double, and Auton Soldier, the engine compounds rapidly without relying on infinite combos. An efficient interaction suite of low-cost counterspells and targeted removal provides resilient defense while extra-combat spells accelerate the lethal clock to close games by Turn 7.
