Deck overview

This mono-blue list is helmed by Loki, Lord of Misrule, transforming swarms of cheap tokens into copies of high-impact creatures. The core engine utilizes twelve copies of Sphinx's Approach to cycle smoothly through the library while fueling token generators such as Daughter of the Deep, Mischievous Mystic, and Talrand, Sky Summoner. Once sufficient graveyard count is reached, Sphinx's Approach cheats a devastating threat like Atemsis, All-Seeing or Consecrated Sphinx onto the battlefield. Loki then activates to turn every small token into a nonlegendary copy of that creature, swinging for game-ending commander/combat triggers or burying opponents under insurmountable card advantage. Supported by free and low-cost interaction like Force of Will and Mana Drain, the deck balances reactive blue control with a highly synergistic, explosive board-wide cloning finish.
