Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger strategy built around Kylox, Visionary Inventor. The deck sets up in the early turns by generating creature tokens with cards like Dragon Fodder and Hordeling Outburst, or deploying life-pumping creatures such as Immolating Souleater. It then accelerates mana using burst rituals like Battle Hymn and Seething Song to cast Kylox ahead of curve on Turn 5. Because Kylox has haste, he attacks immediately, sacrificing the fodder to exile the top cards of the library and cast powerful instant and sorcery spells without paying their mana costs. Free casts of massive bombs like Time Stretch, Mnemonic Deluge, Aminatou's Augury, and extra combat spells like Full Throttle create an overwhelming storm turn that eliminates the table in one go. While the deck possesses explosive goldfish speed and high card velocity, it runs minimal reactive interaction and zero stax pieces, making it vulnerable to well-timed removal and countermagic.
